Ras K’mille is a young man and has been playing music since very little. He is a multi-instrumentalist, drummer and percussionist, he started composing at the age of 8! He discovered very early African Reggae and African music (Tiken Jah Fakoly, Sona Jobarteh, Natty Jean and Manjul), his first source of inspiration.

He discovered Dub around his nine years old with Stand High Patrol and the B-sides of the Jamaican Reggae 7inch from the 70 and 80s. Curious about this music, he then discovered the world of Dub with its different styles and artists such as Aba Shanti I, Weeding Dub, Moa Anbessa, Zenzile or High Tone!


Inspired by these sounds and musical frequencies from the age of 9, Ras K’mille launched into production and wrote his first Dub scores… ‘Face Au Mur’ is his first Dub track with UK influences. This title was composed with the desire to go even further in the Live experiments, to move away from the compositions originally Roots while offering his own vision of Dub music.


Ras K’mille plays and records the drums with his MPC, then all the melodic arrangements with a 90s synth and an electric bass coupled with a Moog sound. He then records and mixes the 2 other versions of ‘Face Au Mur’, melodica and raw version, under the proposal of AlexDub from the label Culture Dub Records!


Since this recording, Ras K’mille continues to compose in multiple musical genres, producing riddims for Reggae singers while carrying out his solo projects. He is currently working on various albums (Reggae, Dub, Mandingue, Jazz ...) while playing in several groups with who he arranges and composes many tunes ...

Ras K’mille is a mature musician whose artistic creativity seems to open the way to dreams of his childhood.
